US markets in highs as dollar tumbles

US equities are hovering over fresh records on Thursday, bolstered by upbeat data from the US labour market, which showed another weekly contraction of the jobless claims. The US dollar is retracing gains and falling to session lows around 82.45/50 after hitting intraday highs in the boundaries of 83.20
DowJones is up 0.37% followed by the S&P500, 0.34% and the Nasdaq, 0.25%.

Bourses in Europe closed in a ‘sea of green’ on Thursday, posting record highs after the improvement of the US labour market. The IBEX35 was the best performer, advancing 1.88%, seconded by the DAX, 1.10% and the CAC40, 0.93%. Curious day for the single currency, climbing to the vicinity of 1.3030 soon after hitting fresh yearly lows around 1.2910/15

Commodities are inching higher, with the barrel of WTI advancing 0.27% at $92.77 and the ounce troy of gold following suit, up 0.17% at $1591
